Day one - Adelaide to Rome

The last couple of days has been spent pampering ourselves - nails, brows, hair and for me a much needed massage to deal with a stressed out body. 😊  I finished work on Wednesday evening whereas Lucy completed her last shift this morning!!

The last couple of days have been spent saying 'farewell' to our family and friends.  Four weeks may not seem like much but for little tackers it will be a long time for them to be without their Mum around.  I am sure Lucy will be missed by her two little boys.

We have a very long flight ahead of us once we get off the ground heading towards Dubai where we change plans and then onto Rome.  We are both greatly looking forward to Rome.  We have a Hotel near the Trevi Fountain where we believe there is lots of great places to buy pizza and gelato - yummy!!

We have chosen to fly with Emirates on a Boeing 777-21H(LR) leaving Adelaide around 9.50 pm.

Many friends have provided us with good reports on the airline so we are looking forward to a comfortable flight.

We join our tour with Expat on the 14th and are greatly looking forward to meeting tour guide, Gustavo, our coach driver and of course our other companions for the 10 days until we hit London.  We will travel through Switzerland, Germany, Netherlands and Belgium before we do the crossing to the UK.  It is very wet and wild in Adelaide so we are both now looking forward to some warmer weather in Europe.
