Today, my daughter, Lucy, and I, are heading into the city to pickup our tickets for our adventure together to Europe. We have been planning this trip for the past year.
It came about as Lucy asked me if I would accompany her on a trip to China. Even though I would dearly love to visit China my wish was to visit my sister in UK in 2019 and so I declined. Lucy then indicated she would come with me but would go off and do a trip around Europe whilst I stayed with my sister for a bit. As I have not travelled around Europe I asked if she would be ok if I could joined her on a tour that we both agreed upon, as long as we managed to spend a few days with my sister in London.
Lucy chose to explore Europe with Expat tours and together we decided on Rome to London, where we would be able to spend 4 days with Gwen and then go to Shamley Green to spend a couple more days with family before heading to Lisbon, Paris, Dubai and finally home to our family in Adelaide.
So today we visit Flight Centre in Rundle Mall where we meet up with our Travel Consultant, Jasmine to obtain tickets for our flights, some hotels and tours that we have booked.
We are both highly excited. For me, one of the highlights will be travelling to the Swiss Alps, experiencing the train and reaching the ‘top of Europe’ where we will see snow on the mountain tops. Keeping our fingers crossed that it is a super clear day😄.
We leave on Saturday August 10th!!!
